Founders:
Rev. Earl and Jana Thurner

The Desire of All Nations was birthed in February 2005 during a Prophetic Conference being held in Bethel Church in Redding, California.  Founder’s Earl and Jana Thurner were then part of the pastoral staff of Kings Cathedral in Maui, Hawaii and pastoring churches they had planted in French Polynesia.  God had been stirring them for some time concerning moving into more of a revivalistic and reformation type ministry and at this conference the Lord quickened Haggai 2:6-9 to Jana and gave her the name of the ministry they were to establish.  In the months that followed, they transitioned from their pastoral ministry into this new calling, seeing leadership established for the churches.  The Desire of All Nations was officially launched May 2006 in French Polynesia during a series of "Open Heavens" meetings held at the Maeva Beach Hotel in Tahiti, French Polynesia and subsequent ministry during the trip to the nation.(You can read about those meetings under testimonies)

Earl and Jana Thurner have been married for over 28 years and in every way are a husband and wife team, enjoying the Lord, each other and ministering side by side. They are both ordained ministers. They have 5 wonderful children and 5 beautiful grandchildren.  Earl and Jana now reside on the island of Maui in the state of Hawaii, their ministry base.

Prior to establishing The Desire of All Nations they have served the Lord in a number of churches and ministries.  They were evangelists and ministers in Washington for 12 years before moving to Hawaii in 1986.  They became part of the pastoral staff of Dr. James Marocco, a wonderful man of God and became pastors of the extension church on the island of Lanai in January 1989.  They went on to pastor a number of churches under Kings Cathedral on the islands of Maui and Molokai.  They established churches in Paia, Maui and overseas in New Zealand and French Polynesia.  They ministered in the churches in Alaska, Lahaina, Hana, Honokaa(Hawaii), Kauai, California and had the opportunity to teach CFNI West and in the Christian School of the church.

On November 10, 1994, after 11 months of intense desperation and hunger for more of God in relationship, character and ministry, Earl had a dramatic encounter at 9 in the morning while teaching a Bible Class in the Christian School.  Within minutes the power of God descended and revival broke out in the school.  As the presence and power of God overwhelmed him, the Lord spoke to him and said He was sending him to the nations and He would do the same thing He did to Earl and the school if there was hunger.  After ministering on the island of Kauai and Hawaii and seeing God come in unprecedented ways, the Lord opened a door to the nation of Fiji and in January 1995, Earl went to minister.

This trip launched a revivalistic season of ministry that saw tremendous outpourings of God, tremendous visitations of His power and presence and transformation of individuals and churches, accompanied by signs, wonders and miracles of healing and deliverance. The meetings in Suva, Fiji were attended by government leaders and prominent chiefs.  For 23 days and nights, in villages, in National Gymnasiums, on National Radio, in hospitals, government offices, in the cities of Ba, Vatakoula, Nadi, Lautoka and even in homes, God visited in remarkable demonstrations of His power.

From 1995 to 1998, the Thurners ministered under this anointing, visiting Fiji nine more times.  They also traveled extensively during this time living for seasons in Washington and Florida in the USA.  They saw tremendous outpourings of the Holy Spirit in the central valley of Costa Rica, culminating in extraordinary meetings in the largest church of the nation.  They saw God satisfy the hunger for more of Him in the nations of Mexico, Vanuatu and then French Polynesia.  It was during the ministry to French Polynesia that God gave them a mandate to contest for nationwide reformation in this nation where the gospel of the Kingdom is not known or seen by many, perhaps under 2% truly converted to God.

The Thurners began working again with Kings Cathedral in late 1998 to plant churches in that nation and get a beach head of ministry from which to launch a broader ministry, which took place this year as they transitioned from pastoring to establishing The Desire of All Nations.

Earl and Jana Thurner realize that all that has transpired in their lives and ministry has brought them to this season and the fulfillment of the prophetic words over their lives is at hand.  So hand in hand, heart to heart, in love with Jesus Christ and each other, Founders, Earl and Jana are stepping into their destiny to the nations, desiring only Him and the nations for Him.
