One of the most fascinating insights about the Word of God was that it was one of the names of Jesus Christ (Rev 19;13), and not only that, but "the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us"(John 1:14). The Word of God was SEEN and EXPERIENCED!! As one man of God says, "Jesus is Perfect Theology".
John 1:14 goes on to say that "and we beheld his glory". Therefore the Word of God should lead us to the Face of God and satisfy our hunger to have God reveal His Glory to us. Biblical teaching is not head knowledge but draws our hearts to love Him and love others. The passionate pursuit of intimacy with God yearns to know the Author of the Bible not just facts about Him. True knowledge awakens a lifestyle of exalting and worshipping the King of Glory that reflects Him in Christ like character, demonstrations of Kingdom power and the enjoyment of His manifest presence. |
